CAJAMARCA

The following Project is about the construction of a 4 stars hotel. The area chosen for this project is located in Amalia Puga with direct entry to Downtown. Amalia Puga is the most popular Avenue in Cajamarca. Where you can visit different places as: “Incas Baths, Rescue Room , The Cathedral, Belén Church, etc. Also you can visit to 20 – 25 minutes, The Porcon Farm, Cumbemayo and The Colpa . These places always are visited for the tourists. This project will help to improve the tourism in Cajamarca.



LOCATION

Cajamarca is situated in the northern of Peru and is the capital of the Cajamarca Region.





Cajamarca is a city of colonial charm but still yet to be discovered. The rolling landscapes of Andean countryside are home to endemic flora and fauna, they are also home to the important archaeological sites of Ventanillas de Otuzco and Cumbemayo.

Also , areas as Porcón Farm and The Colpa.

It is a place of great historical significance. In this city Spanish conqueror  Francisco Pizarro captured, imprisoned, ransomed, and executed Inca Atahualpa, unleashing the destruction of Inca civilization.










































TRANSPORT

There are two ways to arrive there:

·         From Lima to Cajamarca by plane. ( LAN PERÚ – TACA PERÚ)
·         By bus from Lima to Cajamarca (16 hours) (Cruz del Sur, Civa )
·         With a private car but it takes 12 or 14 hours

You  visit The Cathedral, Rescue Room, Santa Apolonia Mountain, Church Belen after The Porcon Farm for 3 hours.

You can take photos, buy the natural products as Manjar Blanco and Cheese Cajamarquino.

Cumbemayo – Picapedrieros City :

First, you visit Cumbemayo, you walk for4 hours in this place because it has a long way, also you  find “The Frailones “ It is the better part of the place.

You can take photos with the habitants of the city, Also you can eat the typical food as “estofado de cuy”, “sopa verde”. 

After, you will visit The Picapedrieros City, It’s a popular city because in this place offers different Handicrafts of stone .

GASTRONOMY OF CAJAMARCA

Many traditional dishes in Cajamarca come from Inca times some are the product of miscegenation as a flavoring with unknown species for centuries.





The most popular are the spicy guinea pig, chicken broth, quinoa soup, wheat soup and other soups with potatoes, corn and potato starch.


 


   


The favorite drinks are the “Cañazo” or Schnapps of cane and “Chicha de Jora”. The cheeses of Cajamarca are very popular and they have lots of varieties.




In general Cajamarca offered a big variety of products derivative of fresh milk, for example, the Manjar Blanco, butter, etc, which are sold in many shops in town.




We also find other desserts from fruits, for example Chiclayo's sweet, figs, etc.






SOME OF THE MOST POPULAR DISHES ARE:

ü  Spicy of potatoes with guinea pig:
Stew of guinea pig cooked in peanut sauce and panca chili accompanied of potatoes



ü  Chicharron with mote:
Pig meat cooked in the same fat accompanied of mote or corn kernels.



ü  Humitas:
Sweet or salt corn mass stuffing with cinnamon and raisins wrapped in corn leaves and steamed.



ü  Green soup:
Potato soup with aromatic herbs of the region.
